Responsibilities:

  • Play a major role in setting up the Manufacturing in Turkey by organizing operations and building the team from zero
  • Directs all aspects of the business operations, including manufacturing, warehousing, scheduling, quality assurance, and customer service
  • Control of all operational aspects, including revenue growth, profit, operations & production, maintenance, engineering, plant production development, Safety, Health & Environment, finance, and compliance
  • Implement, drive, and sustain key initiatives that support plant strategic goals
  • Ensure the facility’s financial goals are met, including monthly profitability and EBITDA targets
  • Prepare an annual manufacturing plan and policy guidelines to drive the performance of key result areas on production activities and continuous implementation monitoring
  • Establish and deliver annual conversion cost budget and planned annual volume of products right in time, at the lowest cost, and within required quality standards
  • Ensuring the production operations, lines, and processes are effectively and efficiently organized to meet all production requirements
  • Develop and nurture a dynamic and competent workforce through a robust performance-driven culture
  • Coach and develop staff to build high-performing teams. Assigns stretch assignments to train further and enhance staff development
  • Deliver progress and production reports to executive team members as requested
  • Develop internal and external policies and procedures with respect of ’s role within the community, i.e. safety regulations, plant security, and environmental policies
  • Ensure all production reports, production paperwork, and digital data for production are accurate and recorded promptly
  • Carrie disciplinary, administrative and criminal liability, when required by law, in case of failure of the primary documents (including, but not limited: acts performed works, rendered services, transfer certificates of wealth, invoices, contracts, reports, timesheet, orders, reports, etc.) and/or accounting registers, as well as unreliable as reflected in the original documents and/or registers of accounting data, if the employee has made and/or signed documents
  • Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; lead ethically and model compliant behavior
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Industrial or Electronics Engineering, other Engineering or Business
  • 15 years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably currently having the same role (GM) in a manufacturing company OR with at least 10 years of increasing management responsibility in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in working in an international and multi-cultural environment
  • Strong operational experience with the ability to establish and measure KPI’s
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Proven financial acumen
  • Experience in managing start-up operations and continuous improvement projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • APICS, CQE, Lean Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement credentials preferred
  • Proficient in ERP systems
  • Business fluent knowledge of Turkish and English
